BCC was engaged by the Department of Housing and Works to deliver a refurbishment of an existing 170sqm tenancy, reconfiguring the space to accommodate approximately 20 workstations while retaining two existing offices.

The works included targeted demolition, partition and glazing modifications, new doors and hardware, acoustic upgrades, new carpet and ceiling finishes, internal painting, and electrical and mechanical services modifications to support the new layout. Where practical, existing glazing, walls, doors, carpet and ceiling systems were retained or made good to maximise value and minimise unnecessary replacement.

BCC managed the project from site establishment through to approvals, construction and handover, including all compliance and safety requirements. The completed space provides a functional, efficient workplace aligned with the Department’s operational requirements, with additional improvements including external window film to assist with solar heat management and energy efficiency.
